Victorian Perinatal Data Collection (VPDC)

The Victorian Perinatal Data Collection (VPDC) gathers information on all births in Victoria including limited socio-demographic information, maternal risk factors, management and complications of labour and birth, and infant factors like birthweight, gestation, sex, resuscitation, and congenital anomalies. VPDC and the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity are located in the Clinical Councils Unit at the Victorian Department of Health.

Epidemiologist

Dr Mary-Ann Davey is a senior research fellow at the Judith Lumley Centre at La Trobe University and  the perinatal epidemiologist at the Clinical Councils Unit, Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. She takes part in some VICS projects that use data from the VPDC.
